About the Event

EMA India proudly participated in the Narendrapur Hasto-Shilpo Mela, held from 18th to 21st January 2024, as part of its ongoing commitment to promoting traditional craftsmanship and Fair Trade practices.

The four-day exhibition featured an extensive range of handmade products, including home décor, candles, leather goods, textiles, wooden crafts, pottery, and other artisan-made creations. Each product reflected the dedication, creativity, and cultural heritage of skilled artisans whose work supports sustainable livelihoods and preserves traditional craft techniques.

The mela attracted visitors from different communities who explored the unique handcrafted collections and learned about the values of ethical trade and responsible consumer choices. The event provided an excellent platform for direct interaction between artisans and customers, helping to strengthen appreciation for handmade products and the stories behind their creation.

EMA India’s participation in the Narendrapur Hasto-Shilpo Mela 2024 further strengthened its mission of expanding market opportunities for artisans, encouraging sustainable craftsmanship, and promoting Fair Trade as a pathway to inclusive economic development.
