Sundarban Mela
About the Event
EMA India proudly participated in the Sundarban Mela, held from 3rd to 12th January 2025, with the objective of promoting handcrafted products, supporting artisan communities, and raising awareness about the principles of Fair Trade.
The ten-day exhibition featured an attractive collection of handmade products, including home décor, textiles, candles, leather goods, wooden crafts, pottery, and other artisan-made creations. Visitors had the opportunity to explore unique handcrafted items that reflected India’s rich cultural heritage and the exceptional skills of local artisans.
Throughout the event, EMA India engaged with customers, craft enthusiasts, and community members to highlight the importance of ethical trade, sustainable production, and responsible consumer choices. The mela also served as an excellent platform for artisans to expand their market reach, interact directly with buyers, and share the stories behind their handcrafted products.
Participation in Sundarban Mela 2025 reinforced EMA India’s commitment to preserving traditional craftsmanship, creating sustainable livelihood opportunities, and promoting Fair Trade as a means of empowering artisan communities across India.
